FESPA VIDEO: EFI DEMONSTRATES VERSATILITY

Comments Comments

EFI is promoting its vast array of print systems, highlighting the versatility of the printers in both production and applications, particularly with its range of hybrid print systems.

The 3.2-meter EFI VUTEk h5 hybrid roll-to-roll flatbed LED printer is just one of the printers on the EFI stand. EFI says it has reimagined, reinvented, re-engineered and refined the high-volume, superwide-format hybrid inkjet platform from the ground up.

Print resolution is up to 1200dpi, in four (optional) or eight-colour modes plus white, and up to nine-layer print capability in a single pass. It will pump out up to 109 boards per hour, using UltraDrop Technology 7pL greyscale printheads.

EFI says its LED technology extends the range of supported substrates, including lower cost and added-value specialty media, and drives down operating costs with up to 82 per cent less energy consumption than mercury arc lamps, according to a Fogra study, and fewer consumable parts.

Watch Paul Whitehead, large format business unit manager at ANZ distributor Currie Group, tell Print21 editor Wayne Robinson why systems shown including the VUTEk h5, the Pro 30h, the Q3r, and the FabriVU 340i+ will make a difference.
