The National Print Awards, which is organised by the Visual Media Association (VMA), will be heading to Brisbane on 28 May, and will once again recognise businesses that are leading through quality, technology, sustainability and creative innovation.
Reinforcing their long-term support of the program and ongoing commitment to the Australian industry, HP and Currie Group have come on board as Platinum Sponsors of Australia’s premier print and visual media awards event.
“The National Print Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and the continual evolution of our industry,” said Kellie Northwood, chief executive officer of the VMA.
“What makes this partnership with HP and Currie Group so strong is the clear alignment between what the Awards recognise and what these organisations deliver to market – world-class technology, innovation, and leadership that enables Australian printers to thrive.
“This sustained Platinum support over many years demonstrates their commitment to an industry of national importance, underpinning Australia’s sovereign print and visual media manufacturing capability and employing more than 230,000 Australians.”
Craig Walmsley, country manager, HP Industrial Print, Australia and New Zealand, said supporting the National Print Awards reflects HP’s focus on enabling innovation and excellence across the sector.
“The National Print Awards shine a light on the very best of Australian print and visual media, innovation, quality and the businesses pushing boundaries every day,” Walmsley said.
“HP is proud to continue our long-standing sponsorship alongside Currie Group, supporting an industry that continues to evolve through technology, creativity and skilled people.”
According to Rob Mesaros, chief executive officer of Currie Group, the Awards play a critical role in recognising industry achievement and momentum.
“Currie Group is proud to support the National Print Awards because we believe in recognising excellence and investing in the future of print,” added Mesaros.
“The Awards celebrate the innovation, resilience and capability of Australian print businesses, values that strongly align with our purpose and the solutions we bring to market.”
Northwood also confirmed that the VMA has refreshed the 2026 iteration of the National Print Awards following extensive member consultation.
“The new awards ensure the program reflects the realities of a national market, evolving customer demands, and modern production environments,” she explained.
“Categories, judging processes, and entry frameworks have been designed to ensure fairness, relevance and credibility, while maintaining the prestige long associated with the Awards.”
Major award winners across Woman of the Year and Emerging Talent were awarded a professional development tour in Europe, including the UK and the Netherlands, exploring international best practice across print, packaging and sustainable manufacturing.
Building on the success of this initiative, the 2026 awards will add Employee of the Year as a new category with a UK and European industry tour prize.
“This is industry’s premier national awards program, shaped by industry feedback,” Northwood said.
“The National Print Awards recognise the best of what we do, inspiring the next generation, and showcasing the strength and capability of Australian print on a national stage.”
Entries for the National Print Awards 2026 are now open, with members benefiting from discounted entry fees, early-bird opportunities and priority access to tickets and events.
