Family-owned and operated, Central Commercial Printers (CCP) is one of New South Wales' most respected regional printers, and is celebrating half a century in April, as it continues to go from strength to strength.

Founded in Cobar in 1974 by Alan and Susan Wright, and Lex and Edith Nash, the business commenced as a small letterpress operation. It moved to Bathurst in 1977, and has since become Central West NSW’s premier choice for high quality offset and digital printing, graphic design and signage/event solutions – all under one roof.

Ten years after it started, and after the business had already outgrown two earlier rented locations, the Wrights bought out their partners and purchased their own premises, all in the same week. It continues to operate from those same premises in Keppel Street today, and remains under the Wright family stewardship.

Alan and Susan’s children; Greg, Lisa and Peter, have all been involved in the business. With the passing of Susan in 2015, and then Alan five years later, it is Lisa and Peter who now head up the family printing tradition, with their team embracing the same core values.

There is a lot to like about how the company has done business over the past five decades. It has successfully managed to adapt to a changing market; has attracted talented team members with expertise; and has formed loyal supplier relationships to help focus on a valuable service for its customers. In 2013 the business was awarded Bathurst’s top gong “Most Outstanding Business” in the Bathurst Business Awards, and today CCP continues to encompass a wide range of marketing and communications services.

“We're proud of our family’s history and achieving this wonderful milestone,” said Lisa Mallon. “Over the past 50 years, it’s been a privilege to work with some amazing customers, many of whom we’ve formed lifelong connections with, and we look forward to continuing to help them for many years to come.

“Like many organisations, we have successfully faced various challenges, and we’re honoured to carry on the legacy of our parents, continuing the company in a way they would be proud of.”

Peter Wright said, “It’s an exciting moment for our team, customers, and supply partners for which we are very grateful. This achievement marks an enormous journey of growth together and we will acknowledge and celebrate everyone’s support and commitment with a series of events.”
