Kodak has released version 11.5 of its web-based Prinergy Insite Portals, updating tools used by printers and their customers to upload files, manage jobs and approve work within the Prinergy Workflow.
The update includes enhancements to both the Prinergy Insite Prepress Portal (IPP) and the Prinergy Insite Creative Workflow (ICW). The system provides authorised users with remote access to prepress processes, allowing print service providers and their clients to upload files, track job progress, collaborate on changes and approve work.
The new version adds actions for Prinergy’s rules-based automation (RBA), which Kodak says will streamline customer review and approval processes and speed up decision-making.
Other changes include tools for faster job management, synchronisation of email addresses across systems to avoid inconsistencies, and updated libraries with support for the latest macOS. Kodak says this improves the responsiveness and stability of Matchprint Virtual soft proofing.
The update also includes strengthened Internet Information Services (IIS) configurations, aimed at improving the security and performance of the Insite Portals.
Jim Barnes, chief IT implementation officer at Kodak, said the update reflects the company’s ongoing development of its prepress and print software.
“The introduction of Prinergy Insite Portals version 11.5 exemplifies Kodak's commitment to continuous innovation of our prepress and print software ecosystem, helping printers to effectively adapt to evolving customer requirements,” Barnes said.
“With this upgrade, Prinergy Insite Portal users benefit from data security improvements, performance increases, and service & support benefits. As a result, they can offer their clients a safer and more convenient online collaboration experience and produce jobs more efficiently and profitably.”
