The company says it is looking at a profit of $35m for the year. Its order backlog is running strong, inline with the records achieved by German rivals Heidelberg and Koenig & Bauer. Incoming orders at Komori are ¥97.6bn ($1bn), an increase of 36 per cent on the previous year.

Sales growth was strongest in the company’s sheetfed division, and led by Europe and China, the total for the year reached ¥87.6 billion ($925m) 22 per cent higher than 12 months ago.

Sales in China were up by more than half, 53 per cent, while sales improved in Europe by an even higher margin, up by 60 per cent on the previous year.

Komori is represented by Print & Pack in Australia and New Zealand.
