Struddys Apparel, a manufacturer specialising in custom teamwear, sportswear and branded garments, has become the first site and company globally to purchase and install the new Epson SureColor F20060 dye sublimation platform.

The new installation strengthens Struddys position as one of Australia’s leading vertically integrated apparel producers, and positions the company at the forefront of dye sublimation production capability.

Positioned as the next generation in Epson’s industrial textile printer portfolio, the F20060 is a 76‑inch industrial dye sublimation printer designed for textile manufacturers and print service providers requiring fast turnaround times, consistent output quality and reliable operation in demanding production workflows.

The printer features eight PrecisionCore MicroTFP printheads, enabling faster throughput without compromising image quality or stability. With printing speeds of up to 300 m2/h, it is well suited to industrial‑scale production of fashion apparel, sportswear, home furnishings and soft signage.

To ensure consistent print quality at high production speeds, the printer incorporates Epson Precision Dot Technology combining halftone processing, LUT optimisation and Micro Weave technology to deliver accurate colour reproduction, smooth gradations and reduced banding.

According to Shuhei Sato, senior product manager, professional print solutions at Epson Australia, the F20060 provides a scalable and future‑ready solution for businesses looking to increase production capacity without compromising print quality.

“The F20060 is designed to address the growing demand for high-productivity, high-quality digital textile printing in large-scale production environments,” he tells Print21.

“Textile manufacturers continue to demand higher productivity, consistent output quality and reliable day‑to‑day performance. The F20060 builds on the strengths of the F11060 platform while delivering a clear productivity increase, with higher throughput that supports faster turnaround times in industrial production environments.”

Struddys’ investment represents the latest step in its growth from a small custom operation into a large-scale, Australian-made production facility with a strong focus on quality, speed and full in-house control. It also highlights how strategic technology adoption is helping local manufacturers scale output, while maintaining the flexibility needed for custom and short-run work.

The additional capacity will support faster turnaround times, greater production resilience and further growth as the business expands across teamwear, sportswear and branded apparel markets.

For Struddys, the addition of the F20060 is about more than just speed alone. It supports a production strategy that combines scale with agility, allowing the business to meet larger volume orders efficiently while preserving the responsiveness needed for custom, bespoke and short-run apparel work.

Struddys’ journey from a single-printer operation to a scaled production business illustrates how investment in the right technology at the right time can transform manufacturing capability.

With Epson technology underpinning both its high-volume and specialty output, the company is well placed to continue growing without compromising the quality and service standards that have driven its success.
