Konica Minolta says it is setting a new benchmark in digital production printing with the launch of the AccurioPress C7100e and C7090e, next-generation presses designed to combine speed, precision, and unparalleled reliability.
Building on the proven performance of the C7100 series, the ‘e’ stands for enhanced, reflecting what Konica Minolta calls “significant upgrades and refinements that elevate productivity, streamline workflows, and ensure consistent, high-quality colour output”.
From the moment the first sheet feeds through the press, the C7100e and C7090e demonstrate why they represent a new standard in production print, the company says.
At the core of Konica Minolta’s scanning technology is Intelligent Quality Optimiser IQ-501 and the Auto Quality Adjustment AQA, a sophisticated system that continuously monitors and adjusts critical print parameters. Colour, registration, and image stability are maintained automatically, eliminating the need for frequent manual calibration. For operators, Konica Minolta says, this means less intervention and more time producing high-value, client-ready work.
The IQ-501 tackles the daily set up of media, such as image positioning, front to back side adjustments and colour adjustments at the touch of a button to maximise image quality, while reducing manual tasks that increase up time for printing. AQA provides the quality checking and adjustments that perform inspection of the printed output to maximise image, ensuring that every printed sheet meets exacting standards of colour consistently.
Beyond automation, throughput has been optimised to handle even the most demanding workloads with ease, Konica Minolta says. Media handling capabilities have been improved, allowing the presses to process a wider variety of substrates – from lightweight uncoated stocks to textured specialty papers – without compromising quality. The intuitive user interface has been designed for ease of operation to manage complex jobs, switch between media types, and quickly implement custom print settings.
Finishing is a critical part of the production workflow, and according to the company, the TU-510e inline trimmer is a finisher that is gaining attention in the market, as print operations look at reducing offline finishing. Engineered for precision and reliability, the TU-510e delivers accurate, clean cuts on a wide range of media and sheet sizes in addition to functional options, such as creasing, perforation and business card creation. Its integration ensures a seamless workflow, reducing manual handling and allowing operators to produce ready-to-ship output directly from the press.
“Integration with the IQ-501 takes productivity and quality to the next level,” says Grant Thomas, production print product marketing manager at Konica Minolta. “Together, these systems provide a seamless end-to-end workflow. Providing a higher level of precision, every sheet aligns perfectly, and operators can trust the output straight off the press. For commercial printers, that reliability translates directly into satisfied clients and improved print turnaround times.”
Maintenance has also been simplified. The C7100e and C7090e are designed for minimal downtime, with easily accessible components and precise diagnostics that allow routine servicing to be completed efficiently. For busy production environments where time is money, these operational improvements mean printers can maintain consistent output without interruption.
The enhanced capabilities support advanced finishing workflows. By integrating intelligent printing and finishing, Konica Minolta enables operators to produce professional-quality jobs from start to finish with minimal manual intervention. This, it says, makes the presses ideal for high-volume commercial print jobs, as well as specialist applications such as marketing collateral, direct mail, and booklets.
Sustainability is another consideration built into the presses’ design. Energy-efficient operation, reduced waste through automated quality control, and precise media handling all contribute to a smaller environmental footprint. For print providers looking to align operations with sustainability goals, the presses support both productivity and responsible practices.
For commercial printers seeking to elevate production capabilities, Konica Minolta believes the C7100e and C7090e provide the tools to maximise throughput and maintain impeccable quality.
