Roland DG has introduced EUV-H, a UV hard ink developed for industrial printing applications, including packaging, with the ink designed to improve durability and adhesion across a range of rigid substrates.

Compatible with plastic, glass and metal, EUV-H is intended for decoration and functional printing applications, offering scratch, chemical and weather resistance. Roland DG says a newly developed primer ink improves adhesion on difficult surfaces, expanding the range of materials that can be decorated.

The company says the ink can be used for applications including packaging, parts, electronics and promotional products.

EUV-H is compatible with Roland DG's existing MO Series printers and upcoming industrial printing systems, including the RC-300 cylindrical printer and IO-300 flatbed printer.

Roland DG says the ink reduces the characteristic odour associated with UV printing and does not contain nickel, substances of very high concern (SVHC), or carcinogenic, mutagenic and reprotoxic (CMR) substances.

Ryugo Nimura, executive officer of Global Sales and Marketing Division at Roland DG, said, "With the new EUV-H ink, we are enabling our customers to go further in advanced and customised production.

"By combining durability with broad material compatibility and a forward-looking ecosystem, EUV-H helps businesses unlock new opportunities, deliver premium applications, and grow with confidence in increasingly demanding markets."

EUV-H became available on 30 June through Roland DG and its authorised partners worldwide.
