Smart Factory set to open Horizon Innovation Park

Innovative finishing equipment developer Horizon – supplied in ANZ by Currie Group – is opening its new 10,000sqm Innovation Park with a virtual Smart Factory exhibition beginning next week.

The new Horizon Innovation Park has been opened at the Biwako plant in Shiga, Japan. The two-storey 10,000sqm Horizon Innovation Park is the company’s new centre for research and development, marketing, and information exchange. This facility includes a large showroom, training facility, cafeteria, and printing facility.

As a grand-opening event for Horizon Innovation Park, the company is presenting Horizon Smart Factory 2020 in HIP, which will be streamed over for six days from 28-30 October and 4-6 November. To register click here.

Market-leading print system vendors will collaborate with each other and demonstrate end-to-end automated workflow systems using the entire floor as a working factory to show real smart factory concepts. The online demonstrations are scheduled every day during the event.

Solutions vendors taking part in addition to Horizon include Canon, Fujifilm, Fuji Xerox, Konica Minolta, Miyakosho, Ricoh, RMGT (Ryobi), and Screen. There will be 20 different print and finish inline solutions in the Smart Factory. For a running order of demonstrations click here.
