The Australian Sign & Graphics Association (ASGA) is seeking industry professionals to join the judging panel for the 2026 National Sign & Graphics Awards.
Entries are open for the 10th biennial competition, and the Association is recruiting judges with expertise across multiple disciplines in the signage sector.
Mick Harrold, president of ASGA, said judges are needed across categories covering fabrication, digital and illuminated signage, wide-format print, vehicle wraps, routing and engraving, and traditional brushwork and airbrushing.
“We have a total of 20 signage categories that cover the entire range of products our sector produces, and a further six special awards that recognise innovation, sustainability, innovation and the like,” Harrold said.
“The commitment is for a few hours of time during June and July to review entries, and provide your input towards deciding the winner.”
Harrold said the Association aims to recruit four judges for each category, with some judges able to assess more than one category depending on their expertise.
“The only qualification to that is that Judges cannot participate in the judging for any categories they, or their business, has entered,” he explained.
“The more judges we have, the fewer entries each Judge has to review, and obviously the wider the range of expertise, the better we can really drill down to find the very best examples in each category.”
Those interested in joining the judging panel are asked to send a brief biography and a list of the categories they are qualified to judge, competition categories can be viewed here.
Judges will also select qualifying entries for the People’s Choice Award, with the final winner determined by votes cast at the Visual Impact Expo on 2-3 September at the Sydney Showground.
The awards will be presented at a gala dinner at the same venue on the night of 3 September.
Projects must have been completed between 1 June 2024 and 4 June 2026 to be eligible for entry. Entries close at 5pm on Friday 5 June 2026, with no late submissions accepted.
