Women in Print is diving into 2025 with a host of new initiatives, all aimed at supporting and encouraging women in the local print industry.

The initiatives include the new Member Portal which will be going live, coaching tools for members from leadership coach Jo Wise, a webinar on anxiety from well-known mental health guru Steven Gamble, and a chance to join International Women's Day lunches across the country.

This year will be the first in which Women in Print has offered paid membership, and the team – headed by national chair Stephanie Gaddin – has been working hard over the holiday period to lock in several benefits for new members.

First up is the Leadership Mindset Mastery course, offered by Jo Wise Leadership. “Jo Wise is well known for her ability to empower women to lead boldly and achieve their business and life goals,” said Gaddin.

“The Leadership Mindset Mastery course is a self-paced course designed to help mid-level leaders and female business owners unlock their potential for impact, by equipping them with the tools needed to inspire teams, navigate challenges and lead with confidence.

“It includes engaging video lessons, practical exercises and real-world applications for immediate results.”

The course is normally valued at $1,499 but Wise has offered to make it completely free of charge to Women in Print members, who will also be entitled to a substantial discount on her 1:1 Leadership Unleashed programme.

The Women in Print Webinar Series is kicking off for the new year with “Let’s Talk about Anxiety”, set to run at 3pm AEDT on 12 February.

The session will be led by Steven Gamble, founder of the Anchor Health Group, who is widely known in the industry both from his previous role as national sales manager for Böttcher Australia and, more recently, his extensive mental health work and advocacy.

“Anxiety is a natural response that we all navigate in uncertain times,” said Gamble. “In this session, we will work together to identify the difference between anxious moments in day-to-day life, and an anxiety disorder, and look at what tools and supports we can use to move past anxiety and, importantly, how we can support others.”

The webinar is open to all, and is free of charge thanks to generous sponsorship by IVE Group, with technical support sponsored by Rocking Rose.

Gaddin says the association will also be booking Women in Print tables at the official UN Women Australia International Women’s Day lunches in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra on Friday 7 March.

“We’re looking forward to taking part in this important event, but spaces will be limited, so I would urge all Women in Print community members to pick the city they’d like to attend in and move quickly to pay for their ticket and secure a seat,” she said.

“It’s going to be a big year for our industry, and for Women in Print,” she said “We are looking forward to introducing some great new benefits for members, and to offering our usual calendar of events to connect and support the women in our sector. Watch this space.”
