LIA TO HOLD DINNER AT PRINT MUSEUM

Comments Comments

LIA members and guests are invited to experience all that the Penrith Museum of Printing (PMOP) has to offer at a dinner to be held on site on 20 October.

Prior to the dinner, Bob Lockley, PMOP president, and other members, will give a demo of how printing was done in the last century or two (before offset) and produce hot lines of type. Members and guests will have their names cast, then printed on an 1864 Press at warp speed.

Lockley will also give an update on the museum, which has recently been gaining a lot of publicity about its potential relocation, and how the future looks for this fascinating piece of history, “Preserving the Past for the Future".

Following the update, guests will adjourn to the Penrith Paceway for a dinner, which will feature live harness racing in the background.
