Printers around the country were sent into untimely excitement by Print21 yesterday, as gremlins got into the system, which sent out an old EDM promoting industry trade show PacPrint as running next month, but alas the show has already been postponed to next June.

Both Print21 and suppliers association Visual Connections, which co-hosts and produces the show, fielded calls from printers around the country keen to confirm that the show was back on.

To set the record straight, PacPrint was postponed on 21 July, due to the ongoing Covid uncertainty. It will now run next year, from 28 June to 1 July.

Lindy Hughson, publisher of Print21 said: “Apologies to Visual Connections and the print industry. It was an unfortunate set of circumstances that saw the EDM sent out, we have now amended our systems. The strength of response though certainly showed the appetite for the show is large.”

PacPrint is the biggest print trade expo in the Australasia region. It runs at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, where it is co-located with wide format show Visual Impact and the Labels & Packaging Expo.

Next year’s show will be the first time Australian printers will have the opportunity to see the latest printing kit in one place since PrintEx ran in 2019. Since then, virtually all trade shows here and overseas have been put on ice.
