PACPRINT VIDEO: Jet shows Screen label press

Jet Technologies is showcasing the new Screen L350UV SAI digital labels and flexibles press, which comes with longer-run capability, and is targeting flexo jobs.

Jet says that with productivity improvements of between 20-67 per cent on the previous model, the SAI will “absolutely chew through the most complex print jobs”. It says additional colours ensure the highest colour gamut is achieved, and a major software redesign “makes this a dream” for operators to run.

The company says other features include improved quality and stability, easy application and board application, and advanced registration accuracy for micro-droplet support security printing.

Peter Scott, managing director of Screen GP Australia says, “We’re thrilled to have a working L350UV SAI on the stand – a few have been installed already, and the reports back from customers are that the results and productivity are sensational.”

The L350UV SAI is a seven-colour inkjet machine that can replicate special colours used in flexographic printing. In addition to CMYK and white inks, orange and blue are added and Screen says that when profiled the colour gamut expands into hues, especially vivid blues, that other presses struggle to match.

“With Screen’s Equios workflow and special CfX colour management developed in cooperation with Germany’s CGS Oris, the labels coming off the L350UV SAI really pop, and preparing them at make-ready is faster than ever,” says Scott.
