PACPRINT VIDEO: Non-stop digital HP Indigo 100K

The centrepiece on the Currie Group stand is the HP Indigo 100K non-stop digital B2 press, one of several HP Indigo presses it has brought to PacPrint, which also include the HP Indigo 7K commercial press and the HP Indigo 6K digital label press.

The 100K is the no-frills, non-stop 6000sph CMYK press marketed as the performance printer, and the one that is driving analogue to digital conversion, while the B2 HP Indigo 15K is targeted at those printers wanting flexibility of output – the ‘swiss army knife’ of digital printing, just as capable of producing light packaging and myriad other applications as general commercial work.

Designed to fit into the circular economy, HP Indigo says the 100K Digital Press delivers low environmental impact printing with maximum productivity, and offers advanced paper handling and offset-like gripper-to-gripper design for precision registration, as well as HP Indigo digital advantages, including colour automation, calibration, fast switchover between jobs, and media and five-input source feeder.

HP says the Indigo 100K four-colour digital press boosts margins on short-run digital production, and introduces new calculations that confirm a lower total cost of ownership.

The new digital press from HP uses HP Indigo ElectroInks that the company says brings the widest on-press colour gamut, giving print businesses the opportunity “to meet exacting customer requirements and achieve profitable growth”.
