Visitors to PacPrint will see all the technologies awarded a Print21 Hot Pick, given to real-world solutions enabling print service providers to enhance operational efficiencies, develop new markets, and produce work in a more sustainable way.

The Print21 Hot Picks, awarded and given out at local trade show PacPrint, are considered by the experienced Print21 editorial team, and designed to recognise the tremendous work done by the industry solution developers, and highlight the best examples of that technological innovation.

The full list of technologies awarded a Print21 Hot Pick at PacPrint:

Canon – Arizona 135 GT
Entry level version of world’s best selling UV flatbed printer, with same core technology as bigger brothers.

Colour Graphic Services – Myiro-9
The “lightning-fast” spectrophotometer with auto chart reader that delivers data to the majority of third party profiling software used in all print disciplines – 1500 patches in just four minutes.

Currie Group – EFI Pro 30h
A 3.2-metre hybrid flatbed / roll-fed LED entry-level production printer, which can print to a diverse array of substrates, both rigid and flexible, using environmentally-friendly LED imaging technology.

Currie Group – Horizon BQ-500 iCE
Fully automated 4-clamp high-performance perfect binder, with integrated auto-calculation system, ensures “perfect binding quality” at all times, without manual adjustments. It can be used for both EVA and PUR hotmelt binding.

Currie Group – HP Indigo 100K
The B2 digital press with non-stop print capability, capable of 6000 impressions an hour, with full non-stop printing, aimed at offset to digital conversion.

eProductivity Software – Enterprise Commercial Print Suite
Delivers smart, end-to-end business integration that organises, analyses, interprets, and leverages enterprise-wide data for process improvement. Eliminates islands of information and connects teams and departments into a shared, streamlined workflow.

Epson – SureColor F10060
Epson’s first-ever 76-inch large-format printer, the SureColor F10060, a dye-sublimation machine for textile production including soft signage, fashion, sportswear, home furnishings, and décor. It features four of Epson’s latest 4.7” PrecisionCore Micro TFP printheads that each incorporate four print elements. With active nozzle status monitoring and advanced self-cleaning, output is up to 255 sqm an hour.

Fujifilm – Acuity Prime
Part of the new BluePrint strategy to have only self-designed solutions, the Acuity Prime is a flatbed printer with image quality and adhesion to a broad range of rigid and flexible media. All supported by its five dedicated vacuum zones and jettable primer.

Fujifilm – Revoria Press PC1120
Flagship printer with six-colours, including gold, silver, clear, varnish and white, it prints 120ppm in 2400x2400dpi, on a range of stocks from 52-400gsm that include synthetics and metallics, as well as coated and uncoated stocks, in sizes up to 1.2m long, with duplexing, and comes with a full suite of inline finishing options.

Graffica – Kolbus AutoBox Boxer
Modular automatic boxmaker, efficient and simple to use, for any in-house or industrial operation, aimed to enable printers to capitalise on the surging demand for short run, on-deman,  any size boxes.

HP – HP Latex 800 W
HP Latex 800 W is a 1.63m wide printer that operates at 36sqm a hour. Its water-based inks mean no issues with solvents. W is white.

Kodak – Sonora Xtra
The “next-generation” process-free offset plate, which Kodak says delivers a stronger image contrast, faster CTP imaging speeds and improved handling robustness, plus sustainability and waste savings.

Konica Minolta – AccurioPress C7100
Uses Konica Minolta’s latest Simitri V toner, eco-friendly, fast melting, energy efficient, and low maintenance, it reproduces quality on a wider range of media up to 400gsm. The C7100 comes with multiple inline finishing options.

Kyocera – Taskalfa Pro 15000c
First production device from the well-known printhead manufacturer, the inkjet system prints at 600x600dpi, with paper sizes ranging from A6 to SRA3 and stock weights from 56 to 360gsm. It is targeted at printers producing up to one million A4 pages a month. It uses water-based pigment ink, which Kyocera says is environmentally friendly in both manufacturing and disposal.

Mutoh – XpertJet 1341SR Pro
The XpertJet Pro series combines the newly developed AccuFine print head and the new print effect i-screen. Mutoh says the AccuFine extra wide and high-density piezo print head, delivers ink drop placement accuracy, and achieves both high-speed printing and high image quality.

Roland DG - TrueVIS VG3
With automated features, added usability, and even greater colour choice, TrueVIS VG3 printer/cutters have been “greatly enhanced” to further exceed the print quality, productivity, and uncompromising needs of today’s sign and graphics professionals.

Screen – Truepress Jet L350UV SAI
With productivity improvements of between 20-67 per cent on the previous model, the SAI will “absolutely chew through the most complex print jobs”. Additional colours ensure the highest colour gamut is achieved, and a major software redesign has enhanced the ease of use for operators.

Smartech – Duplo DC-648
Automated finishing solution for busy digital printers. The model is capable of six slits, 30 cuts, 20 creases in one pass, and more processes, for example, perf/slit-score are possible by adding optional modules, which covers a variety of popular applications such as business cards, greeting cards, brochures, tickets, coupons and book covers.

Starleaton – Zünd G3
Zünd G3 automates all cutting/trimming functions. Manual cutting, with all inherent costs, potential for mistakes, and lack of efficiency, is reduced to an absolute minimum. With optimised workflow, G3 further boosts productivity.

Stick-on-Signs – Dimensor S
Combines wide-format inkjet technology with a digital calendar, in the same device, for one pass print and emboss, with emboss up to 1.5mm, on a 1.6m wide roll, at 20sqm an hour, for entry into higher margin work such as interior décor.

Trimatt – Trimatt 1170
Manufactured here in Australia by Trimatt, the Trimatt 1170 Colour printer can be used for short run, JIT production of high quality printing of boxes, bags, coasters, napkins and more.

Xeikon – Panther PX3300
This high-end label press with inkjet technology addresses end-use applications requiring durability, tactile glossy look and feel, within the self adhesive label market, including the cosmetic, beverage and chemical labels sectors.

XMPie – uDirect
Links design, data and production together for personalised print campaigns, giving print businesses an entry into the world of cross media campaigns.
