TRMC Awards programme opens with new additions

The Real Media Collective’s (TRMC) Award programme, the Real Media Awards (RMA), is now open for entries, and this year it comes with the addition of the new Packaging and Labels category, and a Sydney-based Gala event.

The RMA celebrates all things print, marketing and brand – from brochureware to print collateral, catalogues to magazines, property portfolios to packaging, and point of sale to direct mail.

Recognised as a strong sales and industry engagement awards event, the RMA has 700 entries each year.

“The RMA has grown year-in-year in both entries and sponsors, as an opportunity for our industry and their customers to be recognised for their campaigns and partnerships,” said Kellie Northwood, TRMC CEO.

“That is the uniqueness of the RMA – from agencies to designers, printers to paper merchants – we are one collective industry that is awarded and recognised for our individual roles.”

A new category this year includes Packaging and Labels under Excellence in Craft, which will be the first time the category has been included into the RMA. Also, the event will be brought to Sydney for the first time, with venue details pending.

“Many of our members have diversified into packaging and labels, and as such, it was fitting to include this growth sector,” Northwood added.

“We also hosted webinars with designers and agencies throughout the year, and they indicated how much packaging and label work they have been developing.

“Our Awards program celebrates excellence across all that we do – from letterbox to publishing, print marketing to in-store signage, packaging to government journals, property portfolios to education prospectus.

“Print is one of the hardest-working channels and should be celebrated as such.”

The entries' submission deadline is Friday 26 November, with Finalists announced on Wednesday 15 December. Awards Gala tickets are on sale from Monday 10 January, with the Awards Gala Celebration on Friday 18 March.
