The first in a series of 'Print and Prosecco' evenings for Women in Print kicked off this week at the Royal Saxon in Melbourne, for a convivial evening of networking, sponsored by Ball & Doggett, Breen Printing, IVE and Spicers. Print21 joined in.

The Victorian patron of Women in Print, Rita Karagiannis, welcomed the gathering of more than 30 women, thanked the sponsors for their generosity, and reminded attendees of the informal spirt of these events, which allow industry colleagues to come together to share ideas, learnings, support, and opportunities across their professional environments.

(Scroll through Print21's gallery above to see who took part in the evening's festivities.)

Launched two years ago with the Women in Print re-positioning project, the Print & Prosecco events have until this year been virtual due to lockdown restrictions. This is the first year the events have moved from to in-person gatherings, and the attendance registrations have been high with delegates and sponsors getting behind the evenings.

Across all the events, sponsors and industry supporters, including Ball & Doggett, Breen Printing, Bright Print Group, Cactus Imaging, Creative Juices SA, DIC, Durst, IVE Group, MCC Labels, Orofol, Print21, Print Media Group, QLM Label Makers and Spicers have all stepped up to support the events.

Due to the day of mourning declared for 22 September to mark Queen Elizabeth's passing, the Sydney and Adelaide Print and Prosecco events have been rescheduled. In Adelaide, the event will take place on 23 September and in Sydney on 27 September. Check the Women in Print website for details.

The Brisbane event will take place on Wednesday 19 October at The Lawn in Kangaroo Point.

Further events will be rolled out in the coming months.
