Day 1 of drupa digital attracts 1900 printers
The opening day of drupa digital saw some 1900 printers from around the world tune in to the giant trade show’s online mix of conference, exhibition, and networking opportunities.
Visitors took part in panel discussions and live web sessions as spectators, received input on current issues via video keynote speeches, and virtually connected with exhibitors and industry players.
The proportion of international visitors was at 70 per cent, the top five countries were Japan, India, UK, the Netherlands, and Germany. Some 14,000 pageviews also highlighted the print community’s level of interest in the content on offer. Around 1400 exhibitors from 50 countries presented their products, solutions and applications within the Exhibition Space.
All speeches and videos will shortly be available on demand at preview.drupa.com, providing an opportunity for everyone to benefit from the content presented, even after preview day. The next drupa preview day with further live web sessions will take place on 17 November.
The digital drupa is intended to promote the live event, rescheduled from June to 20-28 April. Almost all print expos, conferences and awards have been postponed from this year. Germany and much of Europe is currently under increasing lockdown as the continent faces a Covid second wave.
