The Sign Expo was due to take place in July in Auckland, it will now not run until next year, with the date and location yet to be arranged.

Meanwhile NZSDA Conference, Awards of Excellence and Apprentice of the Year events which were all scheduled to run alongside the expo will be produced as online events.

No date has yet been set for the online events, but Thursday 8 July is being touted as the likely date for a live stream of the awards.

Organiser NZSDA cited ongoing Covid concerns, saying it was not possible to pull together an exhibition that was supposed to run in just four months time.

Over on the other side of the world the Sign & Digital UK expo has also just been cancelled, after having initially been postponed form earlier this year to June, and the global Labelexpo rescheduled for Brussels in September was canned completely last week.

In Australia PacPrint is set to go ahead Sept 28 for four days, with organisers confident that the vaccine of the population, which will be largely complete by then, will mean the show will have no unforeseen obstacles.
