The latest issue of the industry’s must-read trade magazine, Print21, has been arriving on the desks of the owners and managers of print businesses across Australia and New Zealand all week.

The bumper 92-page May-June issue is a PacPrint Special, with a comprehensive guide to all that the leading exhibitors will have on their booths at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre at the end of the month.

It also includes a full analysis of the latest technology developments, in software for print, digital presses, label press and wide format presses, written by Print21’s industry experts.

PacPrint isn’t the only topic covered in the 92 pages though. The issue features an interview with Kellie Northwood, soon to be CEO of the merged PVCA and TRMC, who says the industry has plenty to be confident about.

Independent marketing guru Malcolm Auld backs that up, writing on why the physical always outperforms the virtual when it comes to connecting with consumers.

The latest magazine also has an exclusive interview with Justin Arter – not a name many will know, but he is CEO of superannuation giant Cbus, which now has the print industry’s super fund Media Super as part of its portfolio. We ask Arter what printers can expect.

The Penfold name is, by contrast, well known in print, with the family having had the Kwik Kopy license for 40 years. In the May-June issue, Patrick Howard talks to newly anointed company chairman Matthew Penfold about his ambitions for the renewed group.

Augmented reality is one of the new technologies that print businesses are being urged to look at, with proponents believing it will offer a new lease of life to print products. The issue outlines the full story, written by printer and AR expert Christophe Bossut.

And with all the regular expert contributors, the multi-page feature on all the movers and shakers in print over the last couple of months, and more besides, the latest issue of Print21 is a must-read publication for everyone running a print business.

Lindy Hughson, publisher of Print21, said, “Print21 invests in quality journalism from people who know their subject. The latest issue is packed with valuable features. Well done to the team for putting together such an impressive issue.”
