CMYKhub has officially opened the doors of its new Melbourne headquarters in Keilor Park, celebrating the milestone with a full-capacity crowd of over 300 customers, suppliers, industry partners, and staff.
Guests gathered in CMYKhub’s front dispatch driveway, surrounded by open eskies, grazing boards, and plenty of smiles as old friends and industry colleagues reconnected to mark the grand opening.
The event opened with a welcome from Glen Francis, marketing and communications manager, who set the tone for the afternoon, welcoming those in attendance to “the future of print”.
“And when we say that, we’re not suggesting we’ve built a shiny new factory that’s going to ‘save’ print – or that print needs saving. You – our customers, our suppliers, our partners in print – are the future of print. This building is an investment in you, and in the industry we all share,” he exclaimed.
CEO Dayne Nankervis followed with a reflection on the journey that led to the new site – a project more than a decade in the making – and the enormous effort required to relocate the business.
Over the course of the transition, CMYKhub moved 55 pieces of equipment without stopping production, achieving only a two per cent drop in output across the entire move.
Nankervis acknowledged the unwavering support of CMYKhub’s team and suppliers.
“This isn’t just a new factory – it’s a new possibility for our clients. Every investment here has been about giving you more capability, more security, and more capacity to grow,” Nankervis said.
He also paid tribute to the leadership and long-standing vision of former CEO Trent Nankervis, as well as the foundational support of the Nankervis family. Following the speeches, he was joined by Trent and Shannon Nankervis for a ceremonial ribbon cutting.
Guests then donned headsets for guided express tours across the 7000m² facility, led by Nankervis, Francis, and sales manager Paul Norton.
Every major department was showcased – with equipment running live – supported by supplier and CMYKhub production representatives throughout the building to answer technical questions.
While waiting for their tour time, guests enjoyed an interactive activation hosted by Kissel + Wolf, designing their own T-shirt or tote bag using CMYKhub’s new DTF printer. Each design was printed on the spot as a take-home memento.
Exclusive sample packs were also available throughout the evening, allowing visitors to collect highlights of CMYKhub’s print capability.
The Grand Opening marks the start of a new chapter for CMYKhub – one defined by scale, efficiency, and a renewed commitment to the future of Australian print.
For those who were unable to attend, CMYKhub will be continuing small-group factory tours over the next month. Bookings can be made here.
