ECO3’s offset printing plates and chemicals will increase in price globally as of 1 March, with the continued rise in the cost of aluminium – a key component of the plates – along with the increasing cost of treatments and processing being cited as the reason.
The company said the price increase will reach double-digit levels, with the exact adjustment depending on the specific characteristics of each product.
Customers will be contacted individually to discuss timing, planning and the expected impact, in full alignment with their contractual framework.
“Despite our ongoing internal efficiency efforts, the sharp cost increases in manufacturing make this pricing action unavoidable to ensure sustainable supply and service quality,” said Frederik Dehing, global head of sales at ECO3.
“The forces pushing the production cost of offset plates upward are not temporary. They are structural, global, and unlikely to reverse in the foreseeable future.”
