Entries are now open for the National Print Awards 2026, with the Visual Media Association (VMA) inviting submissions across commercial print, digital print, packaging, labels, publishing, signage, data-driven communications and creative services.
Set to take place at the InterContinental Brisbane on 4 June 2026, the Awards celebrate the full spectrum of Australian print – from commercial print to packaging, labels to wide format, embellishment to digital innovation – and is designed to reflect the many ways print shows up in the real world.
Categories include book printing, catalogues and magazines, marketing collateral such as leaflets and brochures, signage and display, mail and data-driven communications, embellishment and finishing, packaging and labels, as well as branding, identity and multi-channel campaign.
“We know the incredible work being produced across this country every day. The National Print Awards bring that work into the national spotlight,” Kellie Northwood, CEO of VMA said.
“For 2026, we’ve reshaped the Awards to reflect the modern print landscape. That means more relevant categories, clearer entry pathways, and a program that recognises not just traditional print, but the full ecosystem of visual media.
“We want to see everything – the craft, the creativity, the technical excellence, the problem-solving. If you’re proud of it, you should be entering it.”
The VMA is also hosting a masterclass with industry leaders ahead of the evening gala (from 10am-3pm), with international print leader Jon Bailey confirmed as a keynote speaker.
CEO of Precision Proco, Chairman of WTTB.co.uk and FOUND.US, and Strategic Advisor to Dscoop, Jon Bailey has over 30 years of experience collaborating with major UK brands.
Bailey has guided Precision Proco from a local Sheffield firm into a global, technology-driven print and marketing business, producing over 100 million unique consumer items annually.
Backed by Platinum Sponsors HP and Currie Group, the Awards continue to highlight the role of technology, sustainability and innovation in driving the industry forward.
In addition to production categories, the Awards also recognise individual excellence, with accolades including Woman of the Year, Emerging Talent, and the newly introduced Employee of the Year.
“The Awards provide an opportunity for businesses to benchmark their work, recognise their teams and demonstrate capability to clients and partners,” Northwood added.
