For five decades, Lewis Media has served Australia’s print, signage, and display industries, evolving from a small family operation to a national player with carbon-neutral credentials, and a business model that focuses on customer service and quality – maintaining high standards and building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

Based in Taren Point, Lewis Media is a one-stop shop, specialising in delivering to businesses Australia-wide complete services for digital and commercial print, POS, mailing and distribution, signage and creative solutions, and provides full manufacturing and production of all services under the one roof.

Today, the company is run by brothers Adam Lewis, general manager, and Matthew Lewis, general manager of sales, who took over from their father, Cliff Lewis, in 2000.

“Our story began in 1975 with our parents, who quickly started the business with little more than a vision and a lot of determination,” said Adam Lewis.

“They poured everything in those early years, and they always had a clear belief in doing things the right way – with integrity, quality, and care for customers.

“Mum and Dad built more than a print company, they started a legacy, one built on value, quality, community, and people above all else. And this legacy still drives me and my brother today.”

When the sons took over, Cliff stepped aside and became a sounding board for his sons, giving support and advice when needed, and allowed Adam and Matthew to take the lead and begin building the business in their shared vision.

From the start, the brothers had a focus on technology updates and customer needs, which led Lewis Media to acquire five printing companies over the years, all of which were unable to keep up with technology. They then integrated their services and machinery into the business.

Customer demand shaped the business over the years, pushing the company to adapt and learn new technologies. Once the business expanded into digital and wide format printing, it became a one-stop shop.

The company also became carbon neutral, a move that the brothers said served to attract new clients.

“We’re pushing forward, more determined than ever to lead this industry with purpose, innovation and passion, and maybe we’ll even have some fun along the way,” said Matthew Lewis.

“I really want to acknowledge our team. We are nothing without our team, they are the heart of the company – their dedication, their talent, their hard work and that 'get it done' attitude – they make anything possible. We are beyond grateful for everything.”

Currently with 35 employees running two shifts, the company plans to continue expanding into signage campaigns and other services driven by customer demands, along with diversifying its services.

The company also plans to add new machinery under its roof to further adapt to market changes.
