Fespa is paying tribute to former president and long-serving board member Anders Nilsson, following his passing. Nilsson served as president of Fespa from 2007 to 2010 and was a board member for 21 years, from 2000 to 2021.
During his presidency, FESPA expanded its association network in Asia and other regions, while continuing its focus on digital printing technologies following the launch of FESPA Digital in 2006.
After completing his term as president, Nilsson took on the role of Asia ambassador, working with regional associations and partners to support FESPA’s international activities.
Nilsson was also involved with FESPA Sweden from 1994 to 2026 and was named honorary chair of the organisation in 2023 in recognition of his service to the print industry.
Outside of FESPA, he was chief executive officer and owner of Gamleby Screen AB, a Swedish large-format printing company.
Daniel Sunderland, president of FESPA, said Nilsson played an important role in the organisation’s development during a period of change for the print industry. “Anders was a dear friend loved by everyone, who made a lasting contribution to FESPA in what was an exciting and transformative period for our organisation,” Sunderland said.
“His ability to connect with people across various regions helped to form the FESPA that we know today. Anders will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him and working with him.”
