The investment in the Bobst Vision CI press marks a major upgrade for the Melbourne-based converter, offering state-of-the-art central impression flexographic printing with enhanced registration accuracy, repeatability and automation. Designed for high-speed, high-quality flexible packaging production, the Vision CI is known for its short web path, fast changeovers, and compatibility with extended colour gamut workflows.

To further ensure quality control, the press is equipped with a BST 100% print inspection system, allowing Filton to maintain stringent quality assurance protocols across every metre of substrate – critical in applications where defect-free output is non-negotiable.

Supporting the press is an AV Flexologic SAMM 2.0 automatic plate mounter, which incorporates smartGPS technology for automated pressure and registration calibration. According to Filton Packaging, this delivers precision plate mounting, reduces waste, and streamlines makeready – optimising productivity for short and long runs alike.

Filton has also installed an IST Roto Plus solvent distillation system, enabling solvent recovery and reuse in line with best-practice environmental management. Th e company says this closed-loop system reduces solvent waste and supports a safer, more sustainable operation.

“These developments reflect our strategic focus on innovation and quality,” said Ryan Worthington, CEO of Filton Packaging. “The new press allows us to deliver exceptional print results with improved efficiency and consistency, while the FSSC 22000 certification assures our customers of our commitment to world-class food safety standards.”

The FSSC 22000 certification – a globally recognised standard for food safety management systems – strengthens Filton’s position as a trusted supplier to food and FMCG brands, embedding rigorous hygiene, traceability and risk control protocols across the business.

Together, the technical investments and certification form a cohesive strategy to elevate Filton’s market offering. With enhanced capability and compliance, the company is poised to meet increasing demand for premium-quality, food-safe flexible packaging solutions.
