New Zealand print agency, Fuzed, has invested in a HP Indigo 7K Digital Press, reinforcing its commitment to premium digital print and continued growth in the NZ market, with the investment confirmed during Dscoop Edge held in Denver in March.

Matt Mills, managing director of Fuzed, attended the event in his role as NZ Dscoop chairman.

Dscoop is the global user community for HP Indigo and HP PageWide customers, bringing together business owners, technical experts and industry partners to collaborate, share best practice and explore new growth opportunities.

Dscoop Edge is the group’s flagship event, offering members access to strategic insights, technical education, peer networking and early visibility of new HP Indigo innovations.

Through its active involvement in Dscoop, Fuzed gained access to a worldwide network of like-minded print leaders, enabling the business to benchmark performance, adopt global best practice and stay at the forefront of digital print technology.

This investment underscores both Fuzed’s commitment to the latest HP Indigo capability and its position within a progressive, internationally connected print community.

“Dscoop represents the most progressive digital print businesses in the world,” Mills said.

“This investment here reflects our ambition. The HP Indigo 7K gives us more control, more consistency, and more capacity to produce high-value, complex work. It opens up new opportunities across premium applications while strengthening what we already do well.

“For us, it is a clear step forward, not just in capability, but in how we deliver for our clients.”

The HP Indigo 7K is globally recognised for its colour consistency, substrate versatility and production stability, enabling premium short-run, personalised and high-impact commercial applications.

The investment also reflects broader confidence across NZ, where commercial printers continue to prioritise high-value digital capability, automation and shorter-run production models.

Craig Paul, NZ country manager at Currie Group, said the commitment sends a strong signal for the local industry.

“Fuzed is a business that consistently invests ahead of the curve. This move isn’t simply about adding equipment, it’s about reinforcing their position as a premium digital print provider in NZ,” explained Paul.

“We are seeing continued confidence from progressive ANZ businesses who understand that high-value digital production is central to future growth. Matt and his team are leaning into that opportunity.

“This investment reinforces the strength of the partnership between Fuzed, HP and Currie Group, and the shared focus on delivering high-value digital print capability.”

According to Craig Walmsley, ANZ country manager at HP Industrial Print, the acquisition reflects the ongoing transformation of commercial print across the region.

“Across ANZ we are seeing a clear shift toward higher-value, digitally driven production. Customers are demanding shorter runs, faster turnaround, versioning and measurable quality, and the HP Indigo platform is built precisely for that environment,” Walmsley said.

“The Indigo 7K delivers offset-matching quality with digital agility. It enables commercial printers to reduce waste, improve responsiveness and unlock new application opportunities while maintaining colour integrity at scale.

“Fuzed’s decision to invest reinforces the strength of the HP Indigo ecosystem and demonstrates the confidence progressive printers have in a digitally enabled future.”

The press is currently being installed in NZ, strengthening Fuzed’s production capability and expanding HP Indigo’s footprint across the region.
