Shareholders of Heidelberg approved all proposed resolutions at the company's virtual annual general meeting for the 2025/26 financial year, where the company outlined its strategy, financial results and outlook.
During the meeting, chief executive officer Jürgen Otto said the company had strengthened its position in packaging and commercial printing by expanding its role as a systems integrator and through acquisitions.
"In fiscal year 2025/26, we made significant progress in advancing the strategic direction of Heidelberg. Through HD Advanced Technologies, we are tapping into attractive, less cyclical markets, thereby creating additional growth prospects for the company.
"At the same time, we have further strengthened our position in our core business by expanding our role as a systems integrator and through targeted M&A activities. This enables us to offer our customers highly automated end-to-end solutions in packaging and commercial printing.
"Through consistent cost discipline and best-cost production, we are laying the groundwork for further margin improvements and the sustainable, successful development of Heidelberg."
The company said the recent acquisition of manroland sheetfed's global sales and service companies is expected to create additional opportunities in service and consumables.
It also said HD Advanced Technologies is intended to expand the business into markets beyond printing, drawing on the company's technology and industrialisation capabilities.
Approximately 23 per cent of Heidelberg's share capital was represented at the virtual meeting. The Executive Board presented the company's strategy, financial results for the year ended 31 March 2026, and its outlook for the current financial year.
Heidelberg said it plans to continue implementing its strategic priorities, including efficiency improvements, cost reductions and the expansion of its core business and HD Advanced Technologies.
