HP will launch the HP Indigo 6K+ label press next year, which includes the SmartControlSystem, a new platform that combines AI-powered tools, intuitive automation, and press self-monitoring, which it says will drive up to 15 per cent more uptime.
Live demos of the HP Indigo 6K+ will take place at Labelexpo Europe 2025, where attendees can see first-hand how this future-ready platform helps businesses scale with confidence.
“As we advance HP Indigo’s vision of non-stop digital printing, we are proud to introduce the new HP Indigo 6K+ Digital Press, featuring the groundbreaking SmartControlSystem for enhanced robustness and nonstop production. This press is designed to help converters confidently say ‘yes’ to any label job today and in the future," said Noam Zilbershtain, VP & General Manager, HP Indigo. "With intelligent automation, embedded AI, advanced diagnostics, and a proven digital platform at its core, the HP Indigo 6K+ opens up infinite opportunities for growth."
A suite of automation and AI-powered tools powers the HP Indigo 6K+ with “optimised” production efficiency through solutions such as the HP PrintOS Suite, Automatic Alert Agent 2.0 (AAA 2.0), HP Spot Master, and HP Nio. The latest innovations provide operators with real time insights, shorter setup, intuitive troubleshooting, and automated colour management. HP says these developments will help converters facing labour shortages or complex onboarding processes.
The new HP Indigo 6K+ will have the ability to ruin a high job mix, and provides complex application support, from shrink sleeves to smart labels with brand protection features. It has a wide colour gamut, with up to 97 per cent of Pantone colors, plus HP's full range of specialty inks. It also uses up to 20 per cent lower CO₂ with lower emissions per job, less waste, and media versatility.
It will be available in ANZ through Currie Group in the first half of next year.
