UK-based print specialist Time 2 Display has transformed its operations and customer responsiveness following the implementation of HP PrintOS Production Hub.

HP’s large format software solution integrates order management, job preparation, and remote print control in one connected workflow – unlocking new levels of efficiency, visibility and control across the business.

As Time 2 Display expanded across applications such as packaging, marketing materials and exhibition graphics, managing workflows became increasingly complex.

Teams lacked real-time visibility into job status, needing to manually check progress across departments before responding to customers — slowing turnaround times and creating internal bottlenecks.

By consolidating operations into a single, connected platform, Time 2 Display has increased automation and streamlined communication between sales, studio, and production, replacing reactive workflows with data-driven decision-making, while minimising errors.

This shift delivered a measurable impact across the business. With Live Production visibility, Time 2 Display can now intelligently nest jobs, reducing substrate waste by 22 per cent, while also cutting downtime by 15 per cent.

Real-time workflow visibility allows sales and support teams to instantly identify job status, driving an 80 per cent improvement in order management and response times to customers — turning what once took hours into a matter of seconds.

This greater coordination further boosted overall efficiency by 15 per cent, and now, with full visibility of upcoming production runs, the studio team prioritises approvals and aligns jobs more effectively, ensuring work is scheduled in the most efficient way possible.

Enhanced analytics and reporting capabilities have also delivered a 90 per cent improvement in reporting accuracy, enabling more precise job costing based on real-time material usage and consumables.

These insights are also driving smarter purchasing decisions – by building a clearer picture of media consumption, Time 2 Display has reduced substrate costs by 20 per cent, benefiting from improved forecasting, bulk buying, and fewer deliveries.

Integration with production hardware, including the HP Latex 730 printer, has further strengthened Time 2 Display’s operational control, enabling the team to track real-time production costs and feed insights back into commercial decision-making.
