Printers who were unable to get to drupa will be able to get a taste of the big show from some of those who were, at two drupa Review dinner nights, one in Sydney, one in Melbourne.

Trade groups Visual Connections, LIA and FPLMA are together hosting functions in Sydney and Melbourne, with several industry identities who were at the show bringing their own perspectives on the 11-day printfest, under the title ‘Bringing you the best from Dusseldorf’.

The first event is set for the Bavarian Café in Sydney’s World Square this Thursday 20 June, from 6pm to 10pm. Speakers include Benn Murphy from Clarke Murphy Print, Pranil Chandra from Next Printing, Sarah Moore, CEO of Visual Connections, as well as representatives from Currie Group and the LIA.

The Melbourne outing is next Tuesday 25 June, at the Munich Brauhaus on South Wharf, with Heath Nankervis from Southern Impact, Andrew Crump from Peacocks, and Tom Eckersley from Eckersley Print Group presenting, along with the LIA, Currie Group, and Robyn Frampton from Visual Connections.

Visitors to the 4000 m2 Koenig & Bauer stand at drupa 2024 in Hall 16 can experience an end-to-end packaging workflow with offset, digital and flexo printing and finishing.

Former Print21 editor Andy McCourt will also give an overview at both events, which will include the latest trends and directions, along with innovations, highlights and insights.

Both events will also serve recognition and celebration of the best young talent in the industry with the presentation of the 2024 NSW and Victorian LIA Graduate of the Year Awards.
