Industry veteran Greig Wood of Kissel+Wolf Australia has confirmed his retirement, marking the close of an extraordinary 46-year career in the Australian and global print industry, including 33 years with the company.
Wood's journey began in 1980 as an apprentice at Colin Martyn Packaging in East Brunswick, Victoria.
Over the following decades, he built his expertise across some of the industry's most respected names, including Visy Pre-Print, Collie Cooke, Douglas Colours, Yorkshire Chemicals, SIAS Australia, Intergraphic Technologies, and Sefar AG, before joining Kissel+Wolf Australia, where he went on to serve as managing director.
Across his career, Wood helped guide businesses through significant technological shifts, market evolutions, and creative breakthroughs, consistently focused on keeping operations viable and competitive for the long term.
He described navigating the ever-changing landscape of the print industry as one of the most exhilarating and satisfying challenges of his working life.
His tenure was also notable for its family connection. Wood had the privilege of working alongside his parents, his four brothers, and in more recent years his son, Jordan – a thread he counts among the highlights of his career.
Wood's partnerships spanned continents, built on a consistent dedication to excellence and the lifelong friendships formed along the way. He leaves the industry widely respected by colleagues, suppliers, and partners both locally and internationally.
Kissel+Wolf Australia extends its sincere thanks to Wood for his outstanding contribution, dedication and leadership over more than three decades.
The company said his experience and commitment have helped shape both the company and many of the people who have had the privilege of working alongside him, and his influence will be felt across the industry for years to come.
