Entries for the 2026 National Print Awards are now being assessed across Australia’s print, signage and visual communications sector, with finalists to be announced by the Visual Media Association (VMA) on 29 April.
Major award categories remain open until 24 April, with the VMA Board to review submissions as part of the final stage of the judging process.
The 41st National Print Awards will be held at the InterContinental Brisbane on Thursday 4 June 2026, bringing together leaders from across the sector to celebrate the industry’s standout talent, businesses and initiatives.
Kellie Northwood, chief executive officer of the VMA, said the extended deadline provides an opportunity for business to put forward talent and initiatives across the major award categories.
Winners of the Emerging Talent, Industry Woman of the Year and Industry Employee of the Year categories will travel to the UK to attend The Print Show and visit leading printers, suppliers and technology partners.
“With entries still open, I would strongly encourage businesses to take the opportunity to recognise their people,” said Northwood. “These awards are about the individuals and initiatives that sit behind your success – the ones who show up every day and make a real impact.”
“The National Print Awards acknowledge individual achievement, business performance and initiatives that contribute to the broader development of the industry.”
Other major categories still open for entries include Industry Supplier of the Year, Workplace Culture and Wellbeing Achievement and Environmental Sustainability Achievement.
Submissions will be assessed on demonstrated impact, with judges looking for entries that are clearly communicated, well-evidenced and supported by relevant materials such as imagery, video and documentation.
“There are local heroes across print businesses – from printers through to roles in pre-press, estimating, customer service, scheduling, finishing, dispatch, installation and administration,” Northwood added.
“The Major awards are about people speaking honestly about what they do, how someone has shown up in your business or for your business, and sharing initiatives that reflect the culture and values of your organisation.”
The National Print Awards are supported by Platinum sponsors HP and Currie Group, alongside Gold sponsors Fujifilm, CMYKHub, Ball & Doggett, Plockmatic Group and Renz, Ricoh Australia, Konica Minolta, Spicers and Spectra, with media partner Print21 supporting the Printer of the Year Award.
National Print Awards Major award categories remain open until 24 April.
