According to Konica Minolta, the AccurioJet 30000 “will take colour capabilities, production stability, and media handling capabilities to new levels of excellence.”

The unveiling of the new next-generation digital press from Konica Minolta builds on the quality and technology of the AccurioJet KM-1e series, which has 300 installations across the globe, including several in Australia.

The company says the further developments in the AccurioJet 30000 “will maximise value and improve ease of use for customers.” The company says it offers a highly stable, colour-accurate digital printing platform with a more advanced inkjet printhead design featuring patented Dot Freeze Technology.

The AccurioJet 30000 is designed to enable versatile application possibilities to give print businesses more market opportunities. It includes proprietary edge processing technology for “sharper” text quality, 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution, and “an exceptionally wide” colour gamut for “unlimited” creative applications.

The B2+ large format sheet size is 585 x 750mm, which Konica Minolta said increases flexibility and productivity.

The AccurioJet 30000 prints up to 3000sph, with automatic duplex printing without ink drying delays. It prints on paper thicknesses of 0.06 to 0.6mm on a variety of speciality media. These include heavy textured stock, canvas, metallics, translucent stock, packaging board, and plastics.

The company says a wide range of applications are possible with the durability, instant curing, and versatility of UV ink technology that the AccurioJet 30000 provides. Application examples include printing restaurant menus without lamination, as well as maps, figures, and outdoor displays. Other possibilities include backlit posters, signage, packaging, tags, desk calendars, direct mail, and photo albums.

Among the improvements for Konica Minolta’s AccurioJet 30000 are a higher definition (HD) mode available at the touch of a button to improve granularity, a new printhead, the HM201, to enhance temperature control for even greater density uniformity, Improved rip performance by optimising the configuration of the latest CPU and memory storage, plus waiting time elimination with pre-rip processing.

In addition, it has new media sensors and a spectrophotometer for continuous image quality and automatic in-run correction, it also has bundled inter-colour mist catchers to reduce maintenance time.

The new AccurioJet 30000 is designed to be largely operator serviceable, and will benefit from new remote support services.  There is also an improved data processing system inkjet manager with “easy” integration into existing offset workflows. It has an inline interface for third-party finishing devices.

James Rolland, product marketing manager Industrial Printing, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Australia, said, “AccurioJet 30000 sets a new standard for digital UV inkjet technology. It is engineered with Konica Minolta’s advanced Dot Freeze Technology, delivering remarkable colour precision, exceptional production stability, and outstanding media flexibility.

“The AccurioJet 30000 offers the same paper processing stability as an offset printer. Its exceptional reliability, combined with Konica Minolta's proprietary UV ink system, delivers outstanding print results regardless of run length. It will assist print providers in rethinking printing possibilities and maximising customer value by providing a gateway to expanded and improved printing services.”
