Mutoh Australia has introduced two new eco-solvent printer models (XpertJet 1681SR Pro and XpertJet 1641SR Pro II) designed to make professional grade wide format printing more accessible than ever with a lower entry price point.

By lowering the initial cost of ownership, Mutoh Australia aims to support businesses entering the market or expanding their production capabilities without compromise on output or reliability.

Built on Mutoh’s proven engineering and eco-solvent technology, the new printers deliver fast, reliable performance, consistent print quality, and environmentally conscious operation – the new printers continue to use Mutoh’s MS41 ink, which are GREENGUARD Gold Certified.

“By introducing these two new eco-solvent printers at a lower entry price, we are removing a key barrier for businesses looking to invest in professional wide-format technology,” Russell Cavenagh, managing director of Mutoh Australia, tells to Print21.

“The new printers allow us to reposition existing models to lower the barriers to entry for new customers, more price sensitive customers, and even as an alternative to existing aqueous print-for-pay customers looking to reduce their overall running costs.

“Both models are targeted at areas such as outdoor sign and display, vehicle wraps and banners, where eco-solvent typically is the preferred choice for its vibrancy of colour and longevity, especially when laminated.”

Featuring the new AccuFine HD Pro print head, these new printers give sign and graphics businesses, print providers, and start-ups the ability to invest in Mutoh’s Japanese manufactured quality without breaking the bank.

The AccuFine HD Pro printhead has more nozzles per channel (3200 in total), and the single head configuration provides for easier calibration and flexibility –the 1681SR Pro can be configured as dual-CMYK or in 8-colour mode, while the 1641SR Pro II allows for faster print speeds of over 17m2/h.

To further enhance peace of mind and long-term value, customers purchasing either of the new eco-solvent printers have the option to upgrade to the Mutoh Care Advantage (MCA) service program.

The MCA program provides access to enhanced support, helping businesses protect their investment and minimise downtime as their production demands increase.

“The new printers provide customers the option to choose between areas that are important to them such as competitive pricing, speed or colour gamut, but importantly they offer end users the option of upgrading to the MCA program, for a small uplift in pricing,” Cavenagh explains.

“The ability to upgrade to MCA ensures customers can scale their service coverage, giving them complete peace of mind operation.”

The launch reflects Mutoh Australia’s ongoing commitment to delivering flexible, future-ready printing solutions that adapt to the changing needs of the market – customers can begin with a competitively priced solution and later enhance their service support as production volumes and business requirements evolve.

The new eco solvent printers are available now through authorised Mutoh Australia resellers.
