Orafol marks a major milestone in its expansion across Australasia, with the official launch of its New Zealand operation and the opening of its office and warehouse in Auckland.
The company’s new HQ at 10 Orbit Drive, Rosedale, is now fully operational and gives local customers direct access to the company’s globally recognised range of products – including Oracal, Orajet, Oraguard and Oralite films, along with its high-performance adhesive tape solutions.
Alex McClelland, executive vice-president of Asia Pacific, said this is an exciting development in its APAC expansion plans.
“This facility will enable us to deliver an elevated level of service and support to both existing and new customers across the region,” explained McClelland.
“Our extensive product portfolio spans multiple applications and markets, including reflective solutions, graphic solutions, adhesive tape systems, and architectural design and branding. The full range of products, along with dedicated technical support, is now available from our Orbit Drive facility.
According to McClelland, the company has assembled a strong and capable team for the NZ market, which will be led by general manager Steve Maclean.
“The team brings extensive industry experience and a deep understanding of the NZ market. We look forward to building long-term partnerships and working closely with our customers to grow the Orafol brand in NZ,” he continued.
Maclean said bringing Orafol directly to NZ had been a long time coming, and is excited to lead the founding team on what he calls a “once-in-a-lifetime chapter”.
“The decision to launch locally is a direct response to what customers have been asking for – focus from a supplier, fast, nimble and locally empowered, and ultimately, a direct relationship with the manufacturer, and Orafol New Zealand is here to deliver that,” added Maclean.
“Our passionate team is proud to be part of a business culture that prioritises investment in creating better products and solutions to solve more problems, not cheaper ones that create more.”
The company said this move will ensure shorter lead times and local stock accessibility for the NZ market, along with providing tailored, hands-on technical support for its local customers.
