Following a strategic review of its event schedule, Visual Connections has confirmed that the next PacPrint exhibition will take place in Melbourne from 14-17 August 2028.

The decision reflects a shift toward a three-year cycle for PacPrint, aligning the event more closely with international industry calendars and delivering greater value for exhibitors and visitors.

Karren Challoner-Miles, CEO of Visual Connections, said the updated schedule responds directly to industry feedback and changing market dynamics.

“PacPrint remains a critical platform for the industry. Moving to a three-year cycle allows us to deliver a larger, more impactful event that better meets the needs of exhibitors and visitors alike,” she said.

The revised timing will also enable stronger alignment with major global exhibitions, giving local businesses improved access to the latest innovations and product releases soon after their international debut. The 2028 event, for example, will follow the next drupa expo in Düsseldorf in May.

In the intervening years, Visual Connections will continue to support the industry through a program of targeted events.

The Visual Impact Expo will run as a standalone exhibition for the digital print, sign and graphics sector, alongside conferences and new initiatives designed to keep businesses informed and connected.

“The Visual Connections Board and team are focused on building a more dynamic and valuable event portfolio for the industry,” said Mitch Mulligan, president of Visual Connections.

“There is plenty for the sector to look forward to in the future, with a strong pipeline of activity planned between now and 2028.”

The next major event on the calendar is the Visual Impact Conference & Expo 2026, to be held at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, from 2-4 September 2026.
