A major software update for print management information system, printIQ, has launched, delivering powerful new tools designed, the company says, to streamline inventory management, enhance product cataloguing, and transform mass distribution operations for print businesses worldwide.

“We're incredibly excited to bring these powerful new capabilities to our entire customer base,”  said John Alden, CEO of printIQ.

“V49 represents months of development driven directly by customer feedback and requests from our global community.

“We're confident these tools will make an immediate impact on how efficiently our customers can manage their operations and grow their businesses.”

Inventory planning board: Complete visibility and control

The Inventory Planning Board addresses one of the most requested features from printIQ's global client base, which is a centralised dashboard that provides print businesses with “unprecedented visibility”  into their purchasing requirements across all upcoming orders, the company says.

The Board provides a unified view of all required materials and quantities for upcoming orders, while enabling smart consolidation of multiple jobs using the same materials.

Users can filter by specific suppliers to consolidate orders onto single purchase orders, with generated orders automatically linked and viewable within job details.

Enhanced Product Catalogue: Streamlined Ordering for Label Printers

The revamped Product Catalogue Board serves as a central hub for managing store items, product range items, single product creation items, and kits.

According to printIQ, this customer-facing interface allows direct ordering, reducing administrative overhead, while acting as a complete repository for customers to view and reorder available items.

The solution is specifically optimised for label printers managing extensive SKU ranges. This feature proves especially valuable for label printers who maintain large inventories of customer-specific products and need efficient reordering systems.

Mass shipping: Revolutionary distribution management

Building on the foundation established in previous releases, V49 introduces major improvements in mass shipping capabilities, which address the growing need for high-volume distribution management.

The system handles jobs requiring deliveries to hundreds of different addresses through CSV integration for distribution list uploads.

Users can filter and manage deliveries in batches with ‘Awaiting Distribution’ and ‘Distribution Ready’ status options, processing large-scale distributions efficiently as they become ready for dispatch.

Additional V49 enhancements

Inventory status intelligence: New inventory status indicators provide real-time visibility into stock levels, purchase requirements, and job readiness across all boards, with enhanced filtering capabilities for quick access.

Multiple address support: Outsource purchase orders now support split deliveries to multiple customer addresses, with supplier portal integration for streamlined delivery management.

Industry impact and market response

The V49 release represents printIQ's continued commitment to addressing the evolving needs of modern print businesses, particularly those dealing with complex inventory management, high-volume distribution, and extensive product catalogues.

These enhancements are expected to deliver significant operational efficiencies for label and packaging printers managing complex SKU inventories, large-scale commercial printers handling multi-location deliveries, and print service providers requiring sophisticated inventory planning capabilities.

Availability and implementation

V49 is now available to all printIQ customers as part of their standard software maintenance agreement.

The update includes comprehensive training materials and support resources to ensure smooth implementation across all business sizes.
