Screen will debut a technology preview of its next-generation water-based inkjet label press at Labelexpo Europe in Barcelona from 16-19 September. The new Truepress LABEL 520AQ will be showcased on stand D55 in Hall 5.

The press brings Screen’s proven water-based inkjet expertise into label converting, delivering offset-class quality with the speed and flexibility of digital. Running at up to 100 metres per minute, the machine offers 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution across a 520mm web width with a 508mm print area.

Powered by Screen’s proprietary Truepress SC+ Inks and Advanced Ink Amount (AIA) control system, the press is designed to maintain image fidelity, contrast and colour accuracy. Its integrated NIR drying unit allows dense ink coverage on materials including PP and BOPP films as well as coated papers, without the need for additional pre-treatment.

With VOC-free aqueous inks and energy-efficient drying, the Truepress LABEL 520AQ has been developed to meet stricter environmental standards and operator safety requirements. Screen says the press provides converters with opportunities to expand into premium, sustainable label markets such as pharmaceutical, agri-chemical and wet-glue applications.

In Australia and New Zealand, Screen’s label and packaging solutions are sold and supported through Jet Technologies. Representatives from Jet Technologies and Screen GP Australia managing director Peter Scott will be present at the show.

Demonstrations and stand tours can be booked through Screen Europe’s website.
