Spicers Australia and the European owners of the Spandex Group intend to enter a sale agreement which will see Spicers Australia acquire Spandex Australia.
Completion of the transaction is subject to execution of the sale agreement and satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
The transaction relates only to Spandex Group’s Australian business, with Spandex Group continuing its global operations across Europe and the US.
Both the Spicers and Spandex businesses will continue to operate independently as they do today and will continue to do so after the transaction is completed. The transaction is currently expected to be completed with an effective date of 1 April 2026.
“Our ongoing commitment and priority of Spandex and Spicers is to our valued customers. We intend to continue selling Spandex Australia brands – including Avery Dennison, Imageperfect, HP, 3A etc – both during and after the transaction,” said Ben Clarke, country manager at Spandex Asia Pacific.
“We’re excited to bring new opportunities and future product innovations to grow our partnerships our customers.”
