VISTAPRINT TO GET NEW B2 HP INDIGO
Vistaprint will be one of the recipients of a new HP Indigo 18K or 120K digital press, as parent company Cimpress signs a massive global deal with HP Indigo.
Cimpress will take between 10 and 20 new HP Indigo digital presses over the next 18 months for its global print sites. All B2 presses, will be either the 18K general commercial versions or high-volume 120K models.
The HP Indigo for Australia will be supplied by Currie Group.
The deal represents the biggest spend yet by Cimpress, which is already HP Indigo’s biggest customer.
The Australian facility supplies print to Vistaprint customers in Australia, New Zealand and throughout the region.
The deal for the new presses, first flagged at drupa last year, marks a significant milestone in the 20 year relationship between Cimpress and HP.
Installing the new HP Indigo 120K or 18K digital presses will enable Cimpress to accelerate the volume of customer orders delivered, while reducing overall running cost.
With AI-powered solutions, HP says the Indigo 120K automatically achieves top image quality while increasing productivity by reducing manual intervention, allowing users to focus on growth and servicing customers. It can produce up to two million B2 sheets a month. It says the seven-colour HP Indigo 18K adds a wider colour gamut and superior substrate flexibility, expanding its field of applications.
Robert Keane, founder, chairman and CEO of Cimpress said, “Cimpress’ commitment to delivering market-leading customer value drives us to remain at the forefront of print technology. Our decision to install these HP Indigo presses , following our discussions at drupa last year, reflects our confidence in HP technology, and its ability to enhance our efficiency and expand our product and service offerings.
"We are proud to continue our collaboration with HP, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in digital print innovation to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
