Following on from the success of last year’s event, the Visual Media Association (VMA) is launching the P.o.P (Power of Print) Summit 2024, with speakers, topics and dates confirmed.

A diverse and informative line-up, this years’ summit will cover topics such as HR/IR legislative changes, the importance of mental wellbeing in the workforce, packaging, cyber security, and championing leaders in your company.

Each webinar will be a “punchy” one hour educational deep-dive into each topic, held across eight weeks, starting on Wednesday 15 March. After each event, a series of class notes will be available for participants with all the key facts from each individual webinar.

Specialists in the visual media industry and related industries will unpack a range of practical topics, which the VMA says will “help your business achieve success in 2024 and beyond.”

It says the P.o.P Summit is “a pivotal gathering” for those who own a business, work, or have an interest in the visual media industry, and says, “This event is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a community of change-makers dedicated to overcoming the issues faced by the print, paper, mail, publishing, packaging and distribution sectors.”

Top 5 HR/IR topics: Charles Watson

The series will commence with HR/IR – People & Policy (Week 1: Wednesday 15 March). Charles Watson, GM IR, policy and governance at Visual Media Association will discuss the top five industrial relations issues that VMA members are currently enquiring about, as the government launches its new tranche of new workplace laws, the third set of changes in the past 14 months.

Each topic will elaborate and explain the related aspects in-depth to create a better awareness for you and your business. Watson will also discuss print industry relevant aspects of the recent amendments to the Fair Work Act; Closing Loopholes Bills, Respect@Work.

Mental health wellbeing: Steve Gamble

The second week, Weds 20 March, is on Mental Wellbeing – The road and resources to mental wellness, with Steven Gamble, founder of Man Anchor, who; will discuss how our mental health is just as critical and should be provided as much priority as our physical health. Gamble will discuss how leaders, managers, employees and industry can continue to manage their mental health in a fast-paced era, focusing on tangible ways to achieve mental wellness.

Week 3 on Weds 27 March tackles Leadership – and specifically championing leaders in your business. Christina Bruce, Sellabilities illuminates the proactive steps in your business towards championing diverse leadership. VMA says you will gain insights and understanding around unconscious bias and empowering the future leaders within your business.
