A B Graphic International (ABG), represented in the ANZ market by Currie Group, has made a major impact at Labelexpo Europe 2025 with the launch of its DigiLase Duo – a dual-laser digital finishing system that is already drawing strong market attention, including from Australia.

Developed in close collaboration with a customer, the DigiLase Duo is the first system of its kind to feature two independent laser light sources. The configuration delivers up to twice the speed of a single-laser unit and provides complete redundancy – a critical benefit for web-to-print converters operating in high-demand environments.

ABG says the new system dramatically boosts throughput while reducing the risk of downtime, giving printers a faster, more flexible and resilient solution.

A highlight of the platform is the new Repeat Flow functionality, which allows automated switching of die lines within each web repeat without operator input or waste. This makes the system particularly suited to short-run and unique sheet jobs.

With ABG Connect workflow integration, job changes are also optimised to minimise material loss, supporting leaner, more sustainable production.

Mark Norman, ABG’s technical director, said: “The DigiLase Duo is the result of listening to our customers and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with digital laser cutting and in-house software development. By introducing dual independent lasers, we’ve been able to deliver exceptional gains in speed, flexibility and reliability, while also helping customers to minimise waste. It’s a significant step forward in digital finishing technology.”

Strong show response

On stand 3E41 at Labelexpo Europe, the DigiLase Duo has drawn large crowds throughout the week, with visitors eager to see the twin-laser system in action. According to industry sources, interest has been particularly strong from converters in Australia, underlining the technology’s global appeal.

ABG, together with Currie Group in the ANZ market, is positioning the DigiLase Duo as the next step in digital finishing, helping printers and converters sharpen their competitive edge in a market that demands speed, precision and sustainability.
