Gietz will showcase a vodka label at Labelexpo Europe 2025 to demonstrate the multi-stroke embellishment capabilities of its ROFO 450 ECO hot foil stamping unit.

The label, which will be on display at booth 4D26, was produced on matt black paper and incorporates four distinct production strokes. According to the company, the first two apply transfer colours Luxor Alufin 302 and Luxor Alufin Matte 152 in horizontal and diagonal line patterns. A third stroke uses Lumafin Clear 799 to create prismatic relief on the 'Gietz' lettering, with texture embossing on the 'Vodka' letters. The final stroke applies blind embossing on the back label, with textures made using interchangeable inserts from Hinderer + Mühlich.

The substrate used was Avery Dennison Fasson Soft Touch Black FSC, described by the supplier as a deep-black label paper with a velvety feel.

Gietz developed the demonstration label in collaboration with Leonhard Kurz, Hinderer + Mühlich and Avery Dennison. Kurz provided support in transfer selection, while Hinderer + Mühlich contributed embossing tools. Avery Dennison supplied the substrate.

The company also used Kurz’s DreamComposer software to visualise the design in 3D before production, enabling the selection of structures and transfers. Testing took place at Gietz’s headquarters, where technicians set up the ROFO 450 ECO to optimise parameters ahead of the show.

The ROFO 450 ECO is a narrow-web embellishment unit designed for printed and non-printed substrates including pressure-sensitive materials, paper, cardboard, plastic film and composite substrates.
