As the global print and packaging community turns its attention to Barcelona for Labelexpo, Jet Technologies takes the opportunity to reflect on the journey of the industry and the road ahead.
For Jet Technologies, the event represents not just a showcase of new technologies, but a gathering of ideas, partnerships, and future-shaping conversations.
According to the company, the Asia-Pacific label and packaging sector has entered a period of rapid transformation, with more printers seeking solutions that balance efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability – all while navigating competitive pressures and shifting consumer demand.
Jet Technologies sees its role as bridging the gap between global technology leaders and the local businesses who need practical, future-ready solutions.
This year, Jet Technologies’ road to Barcelona begins with a special client event in Italy, where the company will host key partners from across the region, visiting some of Europe’s leading label and packaging printers – businesses that are setting benchmarks in automation, digital printing, and sustainable production.
“These visits will provide invaluable insights that we can bring back to the Asia-Pacific market, ensuring our clients are equipped with the very latest thinking and technologies,” said Jack Malki, director of Jet Technologies.
For Jet Technologies, a true highlight of its presence on the show will be the demonstration by its partner Screen of a brand-new concept press, which runs on water-based inks.
“This breakthrough technology combines sustainability with performance: delivering outstanding print quality at 1200 x 2000 dpi resolution and speeds of 150 metres per minute,” Malki explained.
“It’s a powerful statement of where the industry is heading – high productivity without compromise on environmental responsibility or image fidelity.”
Other highlights include Polly Automatic showcasing the JetiQ range of highly automated finishing systems, and Xaar showcasing the Versatex digital print bar – a solution that Jet Technologies said has been changing the embellishment market since its launch, enabling converters to produce digital embellishments at the highest quality with speed, flexibility, and creativity never before possible.
Jet Technologies will have its largest team attending a Labelexpo, with Shane Sullivan, James Montgomery, Sam Toft, Darryl Wilson and Jack Malki representing the ANZ region, plus colleagues from the company’s Indonesian and Vietnamese sites.
Clients will also be able to find Jet Technologies at partner stands, including Kocher & Beck, SPG Prints, Asahi, Flexowash, Pulse & Recyl.
“Our message is clear: innovation and sustainability are the twin pillars of growth. Printers and converters in the Asia-Pacific region have the opportunity to seize this moment – to adopt technologies that deliver higher quality, reduced waste, and greater versatility, while meeting the demands of environmentally conscious brand owners,” Malki concluded.
Labelexpo Europe will be held on 16-19 September at Fira Gran Via, Barcelona.
