The newly designed factory consists of several dedicated areas focused on different printing technology, including flexographic label printing, offset printing for soft folded cartons, digital printing technology for both labels and sheets, as well as newly installed digital flexible packaging printing and finishing equipment.

The company says the investment in upgraded equipment and expanded production lines provide enhanced options and productivity for the label and packaging market, particularly in the emerging flexible packaging area.

The opening ceremony coincided with celebrating the 50th anniversary of the QLM Group, and the 25th anniversary of Hoang Ha Label Co, Vietnam’s oldest privately owned label manufacturer.

The leadership team from the QLM Group were present, and joined 200 guests for the celebrations, who had the opportunity to experience the latest equipment and technologies in operation. Simon Pugh, managing director of the QLM Group, said, “Today, as we celebrate 50 years of providing labels and packaging, we do so with our eyes firmly to the future. We continue to build an international company, managed locally respecting local customs and traditions, whilst investing in the technology and people to ensure we deliver you innovative and effective label and packaging solutions that meet the needs of today's ESG environment.”

Over 200 guests were invited to attend the opening ceremony and anniversary celebrations.

"Over the years, we have consistently prioritised technology as the focal point of our development. We are committed to continually upgrading technology and technical standards to adapt to the market's diverse needs.”

The factory will produce a range of flexible packaging services, including stand up pouch, three-side seal, center seal, sachets, and box bottom bag.

In 2014, the company adopted Vietnam’s first HP Indigo Digital Label press and now HHLC-QLM Vietnam has further invested in HP Indigo Digital Flexible Packaging – installing what it says is Vietnam’s first HP Indigo 20000 Press, intending to expand its flexible packaging services, including stand up pouch, three-side seal, center seal, sachets, and box bottom bag.

The new factory has opened with a total investment of over US$15 million and covering an area of 6,000m2.
