1st Australia HP Indigo contingent attends Dscoop5
The digital press users group conference in Dallas Texas is packed to the rafters with printers from all over the world.
The select group of HP Indigo owners are making the inaugural trip from this part of the world after the HP-backed cooperative opened up to members from Asia Pacific. 15 local printers are flying to Texas and then on to customer facilities in Los Angeles as part of a drive to encourage participation in the global users group.
According to Phillip Rennell, digital manager Currie Group, (pictured) the conference represents an invaluable opportunity for HP Indigo uses to meet and network with like-minded operators from around the world. “It’s a great chance for our
guys to connect with printers from around the world. They can share information about markets and how things are done elsewhere. They can also form partnerships to help deliver even more business,” he said.
A special programme of discussions and events is being arranged for the Asia Pacific first timers. The three-day conference will extend to a breakout session on Sunday where local printers can help develop the Asia Pacific chapter.
Later the team can visit either commercial or industrial HP Indigo sites in Los Angeles.
Dscoop5 opens today Wednesday 17.
