WHO HAS THE MIDAS TOUCH?
In every field of endeavour, there are some who have the Midas Touch – the Kings and Queens of industry, who turn everything they touch into Gold. In Australia’s print and graphic communications industry, those people are the National Print Awards Gold Award winners…and it is their achievements which will be recognised and celebrated with due pomp and ceremony at the landmark 30th National Print Awards.
Since their inception in 1984, the National Print Awards have become synonymous with the pinnacle of print excellence and many would trade their kingdom to wear one of the coveted Gold Awards around their necks.
Each year, subjects from around the land are invited to submit shining examples of their craft by entering their local Print Industry Craftsmanship Awards (PICAs). This year, that included a total of over 2000 entrants from across Australia, whose work was submitted for a ruling from a panel of Knights of Industry, with only the very best bestowed with the honour of a PICA crown.
From that exclusive group of royal appointees, an even more select few will be chosen as this year’s Kings and Queens of Print at the 30th National Print Awards Presentation Dinner, to be held on Friday 24 May at the Palladium Ballroom at Crown in Melbourne.
