A deal to die for – Jet cuts a deal with Gerhardt in Chicago
Local distributor Jet Technologies adds cutting the tools specialist to its range of products for the label industry.
The two companies recognised the synergies an alliance could produce at Labelexpo in Chicago. According to Jack Malki, Jet Technologies director, the Gerhardt product range is an ideal fit for the slitting, rewinding and converting equipment specialist.
‘This strategic alliance will fit well with the current portfolio and provide an important additional product range that will serve to strengthen our market position. Gerhardt has long been considered the premier supplier of tooling to the label market and we are proud to be working closely with them.”
The company intends to develop the supply of dies and magnetic cylinders for the label industry.
Ian Sarney, who was previously employed as Gerhardt’s sales manager in Asia Pacific recently moved to Jet and will play an integral role in ensuring customers are taken care of in the transition.
According to Klaus Damberg, CEO of Gerhardt, the link will provide the company with an extensive sales network supported by a wide-ranging knowledge base. “This will ensure our level of service to the Australian, New Zealand and South East Asian market is second to none. Gerhardt aim to provide a high level of technical support to customers and the alliance with Jet provides us with a holistic and consultative approach to die cutting,” he said.
